The plastic deformation behaviour of 7075 aluminium alloy during the forging process was studied using Deform 3D software. The simulation process was carried out at a constant die velocity of 5 mm/s and a varying forging temperature between 250°C and 400°C. The results showed that the forging load increased with a decrease in the forging temperature. The effective strain rate, strain and stress distribution were inhomogeneous across the deformed workpiece, indicating nonuniform forging process. It was observed that the reduction in the forging temperature during the process was responsible for the inhomogeneity. The flow curves obtained using finite element simulation code are consistent with experimental results reported in literature.

The SMEs is currently experiencing many challenges, especially performance improvements. To improve performance, companies are required to increase the effective organizational learning so that it is emphasized on improving human resource development in addition to being able to overcome market uncertainty. This study examined empirically the variables of human resource development and market uncertainty by using the moderating variable of effective organizational learning to increase corporate performance. Using data from 100 SMEs in two regencies in Central Java, and carrying out using AMOS 22, the results prove that effective organizational learning moderates human resource development and market uncertainty in their activities. These results prove that human resource development is needed to improve the effective organizational learning. This study provides the best insight into human resource development, especially in the SMEs. Some of the observed causes have been discussed in this study.

The most used approach to solve tolerance analysis problems for flexible products is the method of influence coefficients that combines the finite element analysis with statistical analysis in order to establish a relationship between the product deviation and part deviation and to foresee the statistical distribution of stresses. The key of this relationship is the sensitivity matrix for the deviations and stresses that can be evaluated by different methods of influence coefficients. Therefore, the aim of this work is to make a review of these methods applying them to evaluate on some single parts the statistical distribution of deviations and stresses due to operating conditions, i.e. due to the displacements applied to the part during its working.

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the ideal aspects of ownership structure and capital structure in determining the uncertainty model of operational of Walmart. This type of research is an explanatory survey using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The qualitative method is carried out by descriptive analysis by conducting a field survey using a questionnaire designed in such a way. Respondents of this study were the 78 managers of the community minimart in Medan City, North Sumatera, Indonesia who were selected by purposive sampling method. Meanwhile, the quantitative method was carried out using SEM PLS analysis by analyzing the indicators of aspects of ownership structure, capital structure and dimensions of operational success. The results show that the capital structure variable had a significant effect on Walmart's operational success. Meanwhile, the ownership structure variable had no significant effect on Walmart's operational success. The novelty that is produced from this research is that the success of community self-service is determined by the capital structure. Capital is an obstacle faced by community supermarkets because with limited capital it is difficult for community supermarkets to expand their business.

The honeycomb sandwich structures are extensively utilized in the satellite load bearing structure due to their superior mechanical properties. Investigating such structures and establishing their failure map implies the estimation of their equivalent elastic parameters as well as the experimental measurements of their ultimate strengths. Through a comprehensive study, this article discusses thoroughly the mechanical behavior of an aluminum honeycomb structure exposed to flat-wise compressive and flexural testing. Furthermore, an equivalent finite element model, based upon the sandwich theory, is proposed for simulating the elastic behavior of the flexural testing and comparing computational and experimental results. The comparison of results confirms accurately the usage of the sandwich theory and its related shell-volume-shell approach in the efficient modeling of honeycomb sandwich structures. In addition, the aforementioned honeycomb structure is parameterized from the geometry and material perspective. The outcome of such study reveals that the honeycomb core thickness has the greatest influence on the maximum displacement value. In addition, aluminum alloys are optimum choice for facing sheets material of the honeycomb structure.

The purpose of this study is to assess the influence of total quality management (TQM) dimensions on the product and process innovation perspectives of Jordanian manufacturing organizations. In this quantitative study; a questionnaire was sent to 249 randomly selected ISO 9001:2000 certified firms in different manufacturing industries in Jordan and we obtained 123 usable questionnaires. After confirming the validity and reliability of the latent variables with confirmatory and exploratory factor analyses, we examined the model and hypotheses. This search outcome confirmed the significant and positive relationship between TQM dimensions overall and product and process innovation perspectives. However, the supplier’s management failed to show a significant relationship with product and process innovation perspectives. Meaningful implications are made that building extensive and effective TQM dimensions and product and process innovation in manufacturing organizations is crucial to face with high competition and innovation in Jordan manufacturing organizations sector.

This study aims to analyze the opportunities for implementing Non-Cash Transactions (Non-Cash Applied Transactions) at Village-Owned Enterprises as the application of Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) Theory in North Sumatra. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. The test was carried out by using Structural Equation Modeling analysis with the Formative approach. The tool used is SmartPLS. The study population was village-owned enterprises in Simalungun, Batubara and Asahan districts, North Sumatera, Indonesia. The sampling technique was carried out by using purposive sampling method. In addition, an assessment of community perceptions of implementation was also carried out. The research variables used are supervision, provider support, banking support (support of banking facilities), human aspect, regulation, resistance, commitment and training. The training variable at Village Business Entities has a significant partial effect on the Successful Application of Non-Cash Transactions of Village Business Entities in North Sumatra. This shows that the more frequent training and assistance are held at village business entities, the easier it will be to implement non-cash transactions at village enterprises. Meanwhile, the variables of Supervision, Provider Support, Banking Support, Human Resources, Regulation, Resistance and Commitment did not have a significant effect on the success of village non-cash transactions in North Sumatra.

This paper focuses on the application of foamed bitumen technology in the production of asphalt mixtures. This technology replaces the common asphalt binder with foamed bitumen for production of asphalt mixtures. Given the foaming, it is possible to produce asphalt mixture at a lower working temperature. This “eco-friendly” technology has been increasingly used by the asphalt mixture producers in Europe because of reducing the energy demands of the asphalt mixture productions. In this paper, first the technology of the foamed bitumen production is explained and then the results of laboratory research are presented, in which selected empirical and functional parameters of two types of asphalt mixtures of the asphalt concrete type (AC) are compared. These mixtures were produced in two versions, one of them containing the common asphalt binder and the other one the foamed bitumen. While comparing the samples, attention was paid especially to the comparison of the stiffness modulus of the laboratory-produced asphalt mixtures according to EN 12697-26 and to their low-temperature characteristics according to EN 12697-46.

The numerical simulation of fatigue behavior of the Aluminum 7075-T6 cantilever beam with an angular crack has been investigated. Cracks are located separately in three different positions of the investigated beam. To predict the fatigue behavior of the cantilever beam the crack propagation was manually simulated. Compression load is applied in different stress ratios between zero and one; then, the obtained numerical results of this research are compared with the experimental results. It is observed that increasing the stress ratio increases the percentage of the fatigue life of the sample significantly. Ascending growth of fatigue life is slow and more severe by increasing of the stress ratio for the first and the third position, respectively. By increasing the stress ratio, the rate of deviation of the crack decreases and it converges to 0° in parallel to the width of the beam. This result is also observed with an increase in the distance from the support of beam. Furthermore, it is also revealed that by the increase in the initial length of the crack, the fatigue life initially reduces with smaller ratios. However, along the larger cracks, the decreasing ratio of fatigue life increases significantly.

The objective of this study was to examine the role of green Human Resources Management (HRM) in the green supply chain (SC) and firm performance. The relationships between green HRM, green SC, lockdown, and firm performance were examined. In addition to this, the mediating role of green SC and the moderating role of lockdown was examined. The population of the study was based on the food industry of Bahrain and various companies were selected for data collection. Therefore, data were collected from the food supply companies in Bahrain. A questionnaire was used for data collection in which cluster sampling was applied. The findings of the study highlighted that green HRM has major importance for food supply companies. It has a positive role in promoting the performance of food supply companies in Bahrain. Furthermore, green SC also plays a vital contribution to the performance of food supply companies. However, COVID-19 has a negative role in firm performance. The situation of lockdown due to COVID-19 has a negative effect on the performance of these companies.
