In terms of competitors, spectators, and media interest, cricket is one of the favorite international sports. At the international level, cricket may be played in three formats: a five-day Test, a one-day International (ODI) for each squad of 50 overs, and a Twenty-Twenty (T20) for each team of 20 overs. Various online games that are based on the aforementioned cricket forms allow players to form a virtual squad of real-life players and score points based on how well they perform in real matches. A user gains better rank on the leaderboard if they get the most points in all of the contests they have participated in. Dream11 is one such online gaming platform which offers free and paid contests and thereby gamers can win some cash rewards. So users can select the eleven players and form a team. These eleven players should be selected from the two teams between which the match will be played. Additionally, these eleven players may be chosen from either one team or a combination of the two teams. To identify the eleven players for the T20 cricket format who can provide the maximum score to get the best rank in competitions, many studies employ Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM).In this paper, the TOPSIS method is utilized (weights of the performance factors of players are evaluated by using AHP) to determine the top eleven players.

This study aimed to build a model and set of criteria to evaluate and select business accounting software providers for Truong Son Technology Investment and Development Joint Stock Company. The study helped choose the most suitable supplier that meets the criteria that the company desired. The research proposed the Technique of Order Preference Similarity to the Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) model and was also applied in the case of selecting accounting software suppliers for Truong Son Technology Investment and Development Joint Stock Company. There were 5 business accounting software packages considered: Misa business accounting software, Bravo accounting software, FAST Accounting software, Effect accounting software, and Gamma accounting software. The ranking results of accounting software providers at Truong Son Technology Investment and Development Joint Stock Company were as follows: A1 (Misa Business Accounting Software) was the best supplier, second-ranking was A3 (FAST Accounting software), followed by A2 (Bravo Accounting Software) in third place. The findings of this study could be used as a valuable reference for businesses to choose the best supplier.

Quality standards must be fulfilled to satisfy a base level of quality. Despite using this idea as a foundation, evaluations of academic programs still rely on the evaluators' experiences and may differ from one evaluator to the next. As a result, more precise evaluation approaches must be created to ensure quality is accurately reflected. The main goal of this research paper is to propose and evaluate an approach to assessing higher educational programs using the Self-Evaluation Scale (SES) developed by the Saudi National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation (NCAAA). The proposed approach is a breakdown of the original performance criteria and standards into sub-criteria and elements to ensure the required data quality. The second goal is to compare the NCAAA's original performance criteria and the proposed evaluation sub-criteria. A comparison framework that uses the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) is developed. Data from eight programs offered in a Middle Eastern University was used for the application and comparison between the two evaluation approaches. Results show that both approaches provide different quality performance rankings. The proposed approach demonstrated more conservative and accurate overall quality performance ratings, indicating that application decisions for accreditation are affected.

Layout design and selection often have notable effects on the performance of the manufacturing industry. This research investigates the Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) approach to find out the optimum plant layout design. The proposed methodology is demonstrated through the real-life setting for the gearbox manufacturing industry. Manual and computerized layout generation approach is used efficiently and accordingly, six layout designs are generated. The approach takes into account qualitative as well as quantitative performance criteria for the selection of layout design. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is applied to obtain the weight of qualitative measures. Ranking of alternatives is obtained through the application of Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) and Weighted Aggregated Sum-Product Assessment (WASPAS) both integrated with the Entropy method. Empirical findings indicate that the rank acquired using the TOPSIS method is perfectly parallel to those acquired through the WASPAS method, which confirms the applicability and potential of these methods. Also, the effect of the parameter λ in WASPAS method on performance score is stable. At the same time, this paper analyses the rank reversal phenomenon and proves that the ranking proposed by TOPSIS satisfies ranking stability.

In most of the machining processes, the complexity arises in the selection of the right process parameters, which influence the machining process and output responses such as machinability and surface roughness. In such situations, it is important to estimate the inter-relationships among the output responses. One such method, Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) is applied to study the inter-relationships of the output responses. Estimation of proper weights is also crucial where the output responses are conflicting in nature. In the current study, DEMATEL technique is used for estimating the inter-relationships for output responses in machining of EN 24 alloy under dry conditions. CRiteria Importance Through Inter-criteria Correlation (CRITIC) method is used to estimate the weights and finally the optimal selection of machining parameters is carried out using Techniques for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method. The model developed guides the decision maker in selection of precise weights, estimation of the inter relationships among the responses and selection of optimal process parameters.

This article introduces a comprehensive analysis of 20 leading companies, scrutinized through their financial metrics across various sectors. By deploying multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) techniques, we aim to offer investors a clear and objective perspective on which companies stand out as the best investment options. Among the MCDM techniques, the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) is utilized, renowned for its efficiency in handling complex decision-making scenarios which is conducted by two clauses. 1) Implementing TOPSIS with assigning equal weights and same share to every chosen metrics as criteria and 2) employ BWM (Best Worst Method) to calculate these weights base on their significance and relevancy to the prosses of ranking. According to the Result gained from the computation, ranks 1 to 5 belong to the similar companies with both assumptions which are Ford Motor Co, BP plc, Tesla Inc, General Motors Co and Exxon Mobil Corp. The consistency in rankings across two different weighting assumptions highlights the robustness of the criteria used, ensuring stable and reliable outcomes. This enhances the credibility of the findings, making them more trustworthy and citable for those who seek reliable and robust methodologies for informed investment decisions.

Already faced with tight competition and low profit margins, the airline industry is going through major changes in the wake of the current pandemic resulting in travel restrictions and slump demands, prompting airlines to curtail services and investments in every aspect of business. To that end, developing a comprehensive method of improving airline performance measures is crucial. However, this type of problem is complex to solve due to a large number of factors, requiring a systematic approach. It entails taking into account a multitude of conflicting, or sometimes interrelated criteria, hence becoming an inherently multiple criteria decision making problem. This study is aimed to assess the competitiveness of airlines and evaluate their financial and operational performances in relation to such criteria. We test FAHP, TOPSIS, and a hybrid method of combining FAHP and TOPSIS methods. In particular, regarding the hybrid method, FAHP is employed to determine the influential weights of criteria that are utilized in TOPSIS for preference values among alternatives. We demonstrate the applicability of the proposed methods to solving a MCDM problem of airline performance assessments using real data sets. Further, this study focuses on examining the relationship between financial and operational performance criteria, as well as gleaning insights for airlines to build an evaluation system that would aid in understanding their strength and weakness in the performance metrics. The computational experiment results of our hybrid FAHP-TOPSIS model support the efficacy of incorporating fuzzy values concerning influential weight criteria. By judiciously distributing criteria weights that are specific to the airline industry, our proposed model captures preference scores reflective of industry-related and concurrent measures. This modeling framework can help airlines better evaluate the systematic influential relation structure among criteria in critical financial and operational dimensions.

In a decision-making environment related to risk, there are four basic circumstances, namely certainty, risk, uncertainty and conflict. The dynamics of the strategic environment in Southeast Asia cannot be separated from the movement of the development of the Islamic State (IS). The terror threat in Southeast Asia is currently divided into different generations of terror, namely the threat of the Al-Qaeda terror network and the threat of the ISIS terror network. This study aims to analyze and identify the risk value of the development of the Islamic State network in Southeast Asia using the Borda and TOPSIS methods. The Borda method is used to give weight to the criteria related to risk analysis. The TOPSIS method is used to provide a criteria-based risk score. This research is limited to the Southeast Asia region with 4 (four) major countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines. This research is expected to contribute to control the development of Islamic state networks in the Southeast Asian region. Based on the results of the overall risk analysis, it was found that the Philippines has the highest risk factor value for Islamic State (IS) with a value of 0.550 at level 4 in the High category. Indonesia maintains a risk factor value of 0.307. Thailand has a risk factor value of 0.427. Indonesia and Thailand are at level 3 with the Medium category. Meanwhile, Malaysia has a risk factor value of 0.203 at level 2 in the Low category.

An increase in investment is required to support the growth and expansion of the industrial sector in a given country. But the planning and ranking of investments must consider financial resource constraints, high investment risk, the frequency of needs and goals, as well as an unfavorable pattern of investments in the production sectors and industries. To ascertain ranking and economic viability for the investment sectors, this study used optimization techniques called TOPSIS, VIKOR, and COPRAS. From 2020 to 2022, this study was conducted for the Debre Berhan City Administration. The study's findings include investment criteria and outline the importance of certain investment areas. The final findings of this study show that, according to TOPSIS, VIKOR, and COPRAS, the current industrial investment pattern is not ideal investment priorities need to be changed. As a result of the above three optimization techniques; spinning, weaving, and finishing of textile fabric’s sector have been ranked first.

To effectively manage the challenges associated with meeting schedules, costs, and quality requirements in construction projects, it is crucial to address potential risk factors. Despite extensive research on risk management in construction, a significant gap persists concerning the uniformity of risk factors and their effects across various construction project types, geographical locations, and cultural contexts. This research presents a structured three-step approach to risk management, covering risk identification, analysis, and response. The methodology is applied to both the General Construction (GC) and Banking Construction (BC) sectors in Egypt, involving industry professionals through surveys. Quantitative analysis using the Relative Importance Index (RII) and Fuzzy-set theory gauges the influence of each risk factor, while Spearman Ranked Correlation tests differentiate risk profiles between sectors. A comparative analysis highlights Egypt-specific risk factors versus regional or global factors. Key risk factors with high centrality scores are identified, and optimal risk reduction strategies are selected using the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). The study reveals significant sector-specific risk differences and highlights the need for tailored risk management strategies. Key contributions include identifying vital risk factors, comparing them globally and regionally, and proposing effective mitigation strategies to enhance project timelines, costs, and quality.
