The purpose of the article is to evaluate the factors affecting supply chain finance and the influence of supply chain finance on supply chain financing performance and SMEs performance in Vietnam. The study was conducted on 856 small and medium enterprises in Vietnam for 3 consecutive months. The data is processed by Smart PLS 3.3.6 software, the results show that credit quality, supply chain integration, information sharing, and information technology all have a statistically significant impact on supply chain finance. Besides, supply chain finance has a statistically significant impact on supply chain financing performance and SMEs performance. Finally, the innovation capability and the market response capability act as full mediators in the relationship between supply chain finance and supply chain financing performance. Based on the research results, we propose solutions and recommendations to help small and medium enterprises better access capital and improve business performance.

The aim of this study is to investigate the factors influencing the performance of the industrial small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Jordan. The factors include financial, management, marketing, technological and government policy and regulations. A qualitative method is employed by adopting a descriptive questionnaire research design. The data of the study are gathered from the employees who work at the industrial SMEs in Jordan. The results show that there were positive and signifi-cant relationships between all mentioned factors and the performance of SMEs, which indicate that when these factors are improved, the performance will also be improved. However, the economic factors have negative effects on the performance of SMEs.

SMEs as a type of business have a high dependence on their owners and it is important for their owners to have entrepreneurial resilience and supply chain resilience. The main objective of this study is to determine the effect of entrepreneurial resilience and supply chain resilience on SMEs performance. The data were collected via a survey to 286 SMEs owners in Indonesia, especially culinary, fashion and craft businesses. SEM-PLS was used for data analysis. As a result, with the presence of supply chain resilience as a mediator, it turns out that entrepreneurial resilience has a stronger influence on SMEs performance. This shows that supply chain resilience also deserves attention to be owned by SMEs owners to achieve SMEs performance. Entrepreneur resilience and supply chain resilience owned by SMEs owners make it easier for SMEs in Indonesia to face increasingly fierce competition, uncertain business conditions to get optimal organizational performance.

The purpose of this study is to identify the influence of innovative cultural processes (ICP) on SMEs performance in Punjab, Pakistan. Data was collected through survey method. 60 usable questionnaires were used for collecting the information from SMEs CEOs/owners/senior managers from Punjab, Pakistan. Research design was consisted on developing the hypothetical framework with innovative cultural processes set as an independent variable to test SMEs performance as a dependent variable. Validity and reliability of the scale were assessed by experts and also a small set of the data was used for analysis through SPSS version 20.0 and PLS-SEM 3.0 for analyzing the effect. The results of the research confirmed the validity and reliability of the instrument used in this study. The findings of this study also validate the empirical linkage between capturing ICP and SMEs performance in Punjab, Pakistan. This study has some practical implications especially for SMEs in Pakistan and recommendations to have ICP for enhancing the performance of SMEs.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating role of total quality management (TQM) between entrepreneurial orientation (EO) and SME export performance in the manufacturing sector of Pakistan. This study was originated from the fact that only a few studies have examined on how the firm’s intangible resources and capabilities such as EO and TQM drive SMEs’ export performance. Some questionnaires in Likert scale were used to collect the data and 364 usable responses were received from the owner/managers of exporting SMEs. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used for the data analysis. The findings reveal significant relationship between EO and TQM with SME export performance. Furthermore, this study found the complementary mediating role of TQM between EO and SME export performance of manufacturing sector of Pakistan. This study has implications for owner/managers of SMEs. The results offer a better understanding regarding EO and TQM implementation to SMEs owner / managers. Thus, owner/managers of SMEs can take better decisions for the implementation of TQM practices. Furthermore, to the best of researcher’s knowledge, this study is the first work, which examines Pakistan`s SMEs export performance in association with the TQM as the mediating factor between EO and SME export performance.

This paper investigates the influence of total quality management (TQM) on export performance of manufacturing sector of Pakistani’s Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The data was collected from manufacturing SMEs participating in exports and three hundred sixty-four (364) responses were received and further used for statistical analysis. The statistical SEM analysis was evaluated through Smart PLS-3. The results of the study show that TQM had an influential role in SMEs’ export performance. Firms with the higher-level implementation of TQM will be more successful in the international market and can achieve better export performance. Thus, the study reveals that TQM is a valuable and dynamic intangible resource which can increase the SME export perfor-mance. The study presented the relationship between TQM and SME export performance and pro-vided some insights for the practitioners and the researchers. In other words, practitioners and re-searchers will be able to make a better decision about the implementation of TQM. Furthermore, the current study contributed to the literature of TQM and SME export performance, empirically. The absence of TQM can affect the firm performance in the international market.

The study aims to explore supply chain innovation in retail trading of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in different regions of Abu Dhabi by considering the contribution of supply chain integration, supply chain orientation, and competition capability, along with the mediating role of intelligent information systems. Online questionnaires were used to collect the relevant information from managerial employees at target firms. A total of 357 responses were considered suitable for the purpose of the study. All the constructs were internally and externally estimated to be reliable and valid based on factor loading values, Cronbach’s alpha, composite reliability, average variance extracted, and discriminant validity. Supply chain integration, orientation, and competition capability were considered as the key contributors to supply chain innovation. However, in the case of supply chain orientation towards intelligent information systems and of intelligent information systems towards supply chain innovation, the association was weak. Intelligent information systems had a weak relationship with competition capability, supply chain integration, orientation, and innovation. The results have real-world implications for management and policymakers of retail trade SMEs in Abu Dhabi. Using the results and conclusions, upper management can shape corporate policy to improve supply chain integration, supply chain orientation, and competition capability, resulting in supply chain innovation in retail trading SMEs.

This article aims to analyze the different impacts that some factors may exert on the probability that an industrial zone-located firm adapts. Recently, industry policy in developing countries tends to spur both SMEs and the industrial zone in terms of adaptation, considering them as the main driver of innovation and growth. However, not all industrial zone-located firms adapt. Departing from an extensive sample of the Vietnam Technology and Competitiveness Survey in combination with the Vietnam Enterprise Survey in 2011-2013, we try to determine those factors that cause firms to become industrial zone-located adaptation SMEs (IA-SMEs, firms fewer than 250 employees, being located in the industrial zone and adapting existing technologies). The analysis results highlight the importance of direct linkages, technology transfer between FDI firms and industrial zone-located adaptation SMEs, economic obstacles, and the interactions between them that cause industrial zone-located adaptation SMEs to adapt in the supply chain (obtained through direct transfer of technology between linked firms).

This research aimed to evaluate the effect of improvement in the logistic issues on the service quality (SQ) dimensions of SMEs operating in Saudi Arabia. The investigation followed a quantitative assessment where SEM modelling was used on primary data collected using a survey questionnaire. The sample comprised of 351 employees belonging to different industries and different cities of Saudi Arabia, Jeddah, Khobar, Dammam, and Riyadh. The research identified quality logistics personnel, inventory management, and high technology cost as critical issues in Saudi SMEs. In this research, three SQ dimensions were considered, including assurance, reliability, and responsiveness. The results inferred that the overall effect of improvement in logistic issues was significant on the SQ dimensions. However, the study was limited to Saudi SMEs and three aspects of topics and three dimensions of SQ only. Considering this, the findings of the study have both practical and theoretical implications for SMEs, academicians, and practitioners.

The aim of this paper is to provide a practical approach by using an interpretive structural modeling (ISM) approach to prioritize the most critical success factors that influence the supply chain output in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The analysis of MICMAC was also considered for the identification of factors having a high power of influence. The findings show that the most significant factors with the highest driving power are associated with innovation and communication tools. Such findings can assist policy makers, administrators, and practitioners in formulating supply chain effectiveness strategies and policies.
