Economic growth is mostly dependent on small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), especially in Bamenda III and similar districts. Examining how an entrepreneurial mindset affects the success of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Bamenda III was the primary goal of this research. The study implemented a structured questionnaire and analyzed based on both descriptive and inferential statistics. Results from the ordinary least squares revealed that proactiveness behavior exerted a positive significant effect on SMEs_Performance in Bamenda III. Similarly, risk taking had a coefficient of 0.788, indicating a positive relationship with SMEs_Performance. Competitive aggressiveness had a positive coefficient indicating a positive association with SMEs_Performance, although it was not statistically significant at the conventional significance level. Innovativeness behavior had a positive statistically significant effect on SMEs_Performance. From a policy perspective, enhancing the entrepreneurial skills and mindset of SME owners and employees can foster a greater entrepreneurial orientation, leading to improved business performance.

Most small and medium scale enterprises in Ghana neglect very critical performance indicators in their bossiness. As a result most SMEs do not survive till their fifth anniversary. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between prevention focus, promotion focus, resilience, and SME performance in Ghana. Furthermore, we investigated the moderation effect of entrepreneurial learning and Entrepreneurial orientation on the relationship between entrepreneurial resilience and SME performance in Ghana. Our results show that both promotion- and prevention-focused increase entrepreneurial resilience and SME performance significantly. This is an indication that there is a strong positive correlation between entrepreneurial resilience and success in both the individual and firm levels. This inference can therefore assist policy makers, politicians and various industry players in designing training programs on how to improve the resilience of SME owners in Ghana. Statistically our analysis shows that prevention focus (PreV) has a positive effect on entrepreneurial resilience (EntR) (β = 0.250; p<0.001), and promotion focus (PreM) has a positive effect on entrepreneurial resilience (EntR) (β = 0.268; p<0.001). Additionally, entrepreneurial resilience (EntR) has a positive effect on innovative performance (IP) (β = 0.547; p<0.001). Furthermore, the mediation results has shown that entrepreneurial resilience (EntR) mediates the relationship between prevention focus (PreV) and innovative performance (IP) (β = 0.136; p<0.001); as well as that of promotion focus (PreM) and firm performance (IP) (β = 0.146; p<0.001). Finally, the results with regards to moderation effects has shown that entrepreneurial orientation (EntO) partially moderates the relationship between entrepreneurial resilience (EntR) and innovative performance (IP) (β = 0.109; p<0.05), however, the result established that entrepreneurial learning (EntL) does not moderate the relationship between entrepreneurial resilience (EntR) and firm performance (IP) (β = -0.031; p<0.05). Using the Resource Based View theory, we concluded that, SME’s needs to adopted prevention (vigilant/avoidant strategies) by minimizing losses, and taking calculated risks with motivation from mentors to avoid loss as this would achieve resilience as well as promotion of strategies (eager/approach strategies) to achieve gains for their SMEs during economic disruption and economic downturn such as COVID-19. We concluded that SME’s could also achieve resilience when managers or owners of SMEs inspire the employees to work harder, and think outside the box to identify latent ideas and opportunities within their SME business environment.

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a crucial role in the Indian economy. To remain competitive in the global market, application of Lean Manufacturing Techniques (LMT) helps SMEs to improve their processes in alignment with customer needs. The purpose of this study is to reduce overall lead time by identification and eliminating non-value added activities (NVA) from the manufacturing system. In this paper, the current manufacturing processes have been thoroughly studied using the principle of work study. Several lean approaches such as- TAKT time computation, Value stream Mapping (VSM), layout optimization, Kanban, Andon etc. have been used to make improvement in line efficiency and hence productivity. The study shows that use of line balancing technique, matches the cycle time with calculated TAKT time. And the efficiency of the line has increased approx 10% and hence balance delay got reduced. Again VSM helps to reduce the lead time of foundry shops by 51 minutes. It is one of the few studies that deal with productivity improvement in Indian SME.

This study aims to identify and evaluate the influence of the factors affecting the implementation of occupational health and safety of employees and employers and its impact on occupational health and safety and legalize risk assessment in small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in central Vietnam through the survey among 246 business representatives and data processing through the software SPSS 20 and AMOS 20. The results show that there are 3 factors affecting the implementation of occupational health, safety and hygiene. In order: (1) Safety regulations and instructions; (2) Occupational health, safety policy and (3) Occupational health and safety training. There is no relationship between the impacts on the implementation of occupational health and safety of the employer. In addition, a very interesting finding about the relationship of factors implementing occupational health and safety of employers was a positive influence on the legalization of risk assessment activities. On the basis of these results, employees, business owners and state management agencies will have grounds to offer useful solutions in risk assessment in order to better perform safety work and occupational health.

The study aims to investigate the moderating role of Organizational Readiness (OR) in the relationship between Supply Chain Agility (SCA) and Blockchain Adoption Intention (BAI) among these SMEs, drawing on the Resource-Based View (RBV) theory. The study adopts a positivist approach and a cross-sectional design to explore how organizational readiness moderates blockchain adoption in Saudi SMEs. It uses a quantitative methodology, surveying decision-makers from SMEs engaged in supply chain activities to gather data. Data analysis is performed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The study's findings indicate that Operational Supply Chain Transparency (OSCT) impacts Supply Chain Alignment (SCL), Supply Chain Adaptability (SCD), SCA, and BAI. Moreover, there is a positive influence of SCL on SCD and SCA. SCA also significantly influences BAI. Furthermore, the moderation analysis shows that OR significantly affects the SCA-BAI relationship, indicating that higher OR amplifies the positive impact of supply chain agility on blockchain adoption intention, underscoring the critical roles of supply chain factors and OR in blockchain adoption among SMEs. Based on the RBV theory, the study delves into how constructs like SCL, OSCT, SCD, and SCA are influenced by blockchain technology. It assesses the extent to which these factors would impact the propensity of SMEs to implement blockchain yet explores the moderating influence of OR on this dynamic.

The study aimed at investigating the impact of e-business on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) operational performance in terms of business flexibility, business quality, and business costs. Research data was harvested via an online questionnaire developed based on previous related works and administered to a sample consisting of 500 owners and managers of industrial and commercial SMEs in Saudi Arabia. Using SmartPLS software, the results pointed out that e-business exerts a significant positive impact on the overall SMEs operational performance. Particularly, the results revealed that e-business results in positive effects on business flexibility, business quality, and business costs. It was observed that the greater impact of e-business was on business flexibility while the impact of e-business on business quality and business costs is roughly similar. These findings suggest that the current SMEs are highly concerned with customer-oriented issues such as marketing channels, customer needs and communications, and on-time delivery. Based on these results, it was concluded that SMEs can use e-business solutions to boost their business operational capabilities with reference to flexibility, quality, and cost.

Technology is becoming a trend, so this research examines technology information as a driver of productivity for small or medium industries (SMEs). This research examines the impact of innovation on the performance of small and medium enterprises, the impact of information technology on industrial performance, and the role of information technology as a mediator of innovation on company performance. Data was collected through an online survey. The total population is 346, so that many questionnaires were distributed to MSMEs using path analysis and Smart PLS as processing tools. The findings are that innovation has an influence on increasing the productivity of small businesses, innovation has a positive role on information systems, remains insignificant on the performance of industrial Performance, and information technology does not mediate the relationship between innovation and performance. So it can be said that innovation plays an important role in improving company performance.

This research aims to analyze the relationship between sustainable supply chains on financial performance, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) financial performance and Sustainable supply chains on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This research uses a quantitative survey method, research data was obtained by distributing online questionnaires through media social to 390 respondents belonging to SMEs, and respondents were determined using the simple random sampling method. Data analysis used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Partial Least Square (PLS) with data processing tools using SmartPLS 3.0 software. The questionnaire was designed using a Likert scale of 1 to 7. The independent variable in this research is the sustainable supply chain, the mediating variable is Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the dependent variable is financial performance. The stages of data analysis are validity and reliability testing, significance or hypothesis testing, and mediation influence testing. The results of data analysis show that the Sustainable supply chain has a positive and significant relationship to financial performance, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have a positive and significant relationship to financial performance and the Sustainable supply chain has a positive and significant relationship to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). To improve the financial performance of SMEs, they must implement a sustainable supply chain in their supply chain, namely from supplier to customer. To improve the financial performance of SMEs, they must implement Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in their management system. Implementing sustainability in the supply chain is important to increase operational efficiency and reduce negative impacts on the environment and society.

This paper aims to explore the role of service innovation and competitive advantage as a mediator of product innovation on marketing performance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) manufacturing firms in Indonesia. The sample size used in the research was 180 SMEs and the sampling technique is area (cluster) sampling. Furthermore, the sample criteria or respondents, whose researchers' recommendations for filling in the research instrument are managers and can represent company owners. Findings provide empirical evidence that service innovation on marketing performance; competitive advantage on marketing performance; product innovation on service innovation; and product innovation on competitive advantage have positive and significant effects, except the influence of competitive advantage on marketing performance which was not significant.

This study empirically explores the influence of innovation orientation on the digital supply chain, mediated by dynamic capabilities within the context of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This study, rooted in a comprehensive evaluation of dynamic capabilities and innovation orientation, introduces a framework that could serve as a valuable resource for subsequent research. It contributes to the global discourse on optimizing digital supply chain practices among SMEs. Quantitative method was employed, gathering data from 212 professionals in SMEs in Dubai, UAE, via an online questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using SmartPLS 4, focusing on reliability, validity, discriminant validity, and hypothesis testing. The findings show a significant influence of innovation orientation on the digital supply chain. Dynamic capabilities also exhibit an indirect yet substantial impact on the relationship between innovation orientation and the digital supply chain. The identified dynamic capabilities are instrumental in refining decisions associated with the circular economy and leveraging technology to enhance supply chain mechanisms. These capabilities foster positive correlations between the digital supply chain and innovation. The predominant advantage of digital supply chains for consumers lies in their agility and speed, facilitating swift response to customer demand and bolstering business efficiency. The model presented is a template for future research, which could expand its scope to include other industries like manufacturing or services, augmenting the robustness of the findings.
