The purpose of this study was to investigate and examine the moderating effect of Strategic Thinking on the effect of Talent Management on Core competence. The study collected the primary data from the sample that comprise of 310 managers working in Saudi private hospitals lied in western region, using well-designed questionnaire. The study planned to learn how Talent Management, Core Competence, and Strategic Thinking can affect each other in private hospitals, which can re-veal the latent potentials of human resources that enable the hospitals to achieve competitive positions. SEM model was developed and carefully assessed. The key findings indicate that enhancing managers’ strategic thinking could result in increasing the opportunity for hospitals to achieve core competences through applying talent management practices. As a result, the relationship between Talent Management and Core competence, as well as the relationship between Strategic Thinking and Core competence, was positive. Given these relationships, it can be concluded that the strategic thinking (as a moderating variable) can have a positive effect on the relationship between talent management and core competence.

Drawing from research on despotic leadership, employee engagement, employee trust and employee task performance using conservation of resource theory and social exchange theory, this study investigated the three-way interaction of mediating effects of employee engagement (EE) and employee trust (ET) in the link between despotic leadership (DL) behavior of supervisor and employee task performance (TP). Data collected from 310 employees reflected that despotic leadership had negative effect on follower’s task performance, yet the role of employee trust and employee engagement provided the evidence of mediation. The study has explored the rarely addressed area of destructive leadership in the cultural setting of a developing country. The findings of the study have significant implications for future research and practice.

The purpose of this study is to explain how innovation capability influences business performance by mediating the effect of Covid-19 risk perception and entrepreneurial orientation. This study's population consists of MSMEs in Bali's tourism and creative industries. Purposive sampling was utilized to choose 90 managers of MSMEs in the tourist and creative economy sectors. Path Analysis with SEM-PLS was employed as the analytical approach. The findings revealed that the COVID-19 Risk Perception had a negative and significant impact on business performance, but the Entrepreneurship Orientation had a positive and significant impact. Furthermore, COVID-19 Risk Perception had a negative and significant impact on Innovation Capability; while the Entrepreneurship Orientation had a positive and significant effect on Innovation Capability; and Innovation Capability had a positive and significant impact on business performance. In addition, Innovation Capability was able to mediate the influence of COVID-19 Risk Perception and Entrepreneurship Orientation on business performance. Therefore, it is important for MSMEs in the tourism and creative economy sectors in Bali to improve their Entrepreneurship Orientation so that they are able to build higher innovation capabilities in order to improve business performance in facing the risks of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Job performance becomes one of crucial issues and challenges faced by the organizations and it is related to employees’ performance. In conjunction with the issue, this study investigates the determinants of job performance among female employees in Malaysia. Respondents involved in this study were composed of 320 female workers selected from manufacturing, education, health and hospitality sectors. The data was collected through self-administered questionnaires by using a five-point Likert scale. The study uses two common statistical analysis, including the descriptive and inferential statistics analyses by assisting statistical software, namely the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS-20). The outcome shows that motivation, organizational climate, and time management significantly influenced female employees' job performance. Also, the organizational climate was a determinant factor affecting female job performance in Malaysia. Thus, the finding of this study will assist female employees and employers in understanding the factors that could affect their performance in the organization.

The continuity of the organization was disrupted when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world in early 2020, and many organizations were forced to adapt to emergencies. Programs that have been developed for the long term must be modified to suit the situation. This paper aims to evaluate the impact of the pandemic and analyze the ongoing impact of transformational leadership on the distribution of organizational performance mediated by organizational learning, total quality management and quality assurance, and altruism as moderating variables. The study was conducted by using Partial Least Square to analyze the behavior of the highest leadership of the Child Welfare Institution (CWI) of the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, with a sample of 185 accredited institutions throughout Indonesia. The results of the study indicate that several factors affect the process of evaluating organizational performance. The LKSAs need to improve the quality of their organization's performance by following the requirements of the Ministry of Social Affairs consistently and continuously in implementing the fulfillment of the quality standards. The contribution of novelty in this study is that the total quality management variable is not able to improve organizational performance. The surprising finding is that the consistency of the distribution of total quality management implementation has no effect when the highest leadership is unable to carry out the sustainability of the standards that have been painstakingly prepared long before the pandemic occurred. However, the quality assurance can increase the distribution of organizational performance substantially.

This study aims to investigate the impact of leadership styles (transformational leadership style, transactional leadership style, and Laisser-Faire leadership style) on employees’ innovative work at Al-Ahliyya Amman University Employees. It follows the descriptive analytical approach by distributing a questionnaire to a sample of 461 employees following the convenience sampling technique. The findings show a positive statistically significant impact of transformational leadership style on employees’ innovative work behavior, while there was a negative statistically significant impact of transactional and Laisser-faire leadership styles on the employees’ innovative work behavior at Al-Ahliyya Amman University Employees.

This study aims at identifying the impact of customer relationship management (CRM) on retaining customers in tourism organizations (hotels) in Al-Kharj Governorate. An analytical descriptive approach was used in this study in which a questionnaire was designed and distributed to the study sample population consisting of 200 individuals. The study reached a set of results, the most important of which are the dimensions of customers service in travel & tourism organizations (understanding and identifying the customer - developing the relationship with the customer - selecting the customer - interacting with the customer) affect the development of the relationship with their customers. The study presented a set of recommendations the most prominent of which is working to provide programs and offers presentations, to customers, which can build a strong relationship with them and enhance trust with them. There is a need to pay attention to the integrated communication programs with customers, a comprehensive study on the travel and tourism and identifying the targeted group for the services of travel & tourism organizations in the governorate.

This research aims to know and analyze the contribution of enterprise risk management and business strategy to the competitive advantage and company performance of shipping companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The company performance and competitive advantage of shipping companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange fluctuate and are decreasing. The enterprise risk which is not well-managed can result in a decrease in competitive advantage and company performance. The shipping companies having no competitive advantage will have poor performance and lose in the competition with similar companies. This research uses Path Analysis with the analysis tool of Partial Least Square SmartPLS3 and its path coefficient significance test using a t-test. The total number of samples is 65 consisting of 13 companies with five years of observation taken using the purposive sampling technique. The result of this research states that shipping companies in Indonesia can increase their company performance through enterprise risk management. So, the companies must practice enterprise risk management properly where the aspect of risk management is integrated into the company strategy. Shipping companies in Indonesia can also increase their company performance through competitive advantage so that they can increase their revenue. Shipping companies can increase their company performance through business strategy, so they must implement a business strategy.

Changing consumer purchasing decision behavior is not easy. Consumers are now classified as intelligent consumers who are supported by the development of information and technology. Especially the decision to purchase products that are not widely known in the community, particularly environmentally friendly products or natural products (green products). One of the environmentally friendly products that attract public attention lately is Loloh cemcem brand from Penglipuran Village Bangli. The objectives of this study are a) to explain the effect of hedonic value, brand personality appeal, and attitude towards behavioral intention, and to explain the role of brand personality appeal as a mediator of the relationship between the hedonic value towards attitude and behavioral intention. The study is conducted in all districts in Bali from September 2018 to June 2019. The analysis technique used is path analysis. The research findings show that all variables have positive and significant effects on behavioral intention. However, brand personality appeal only acts as a mediating variable in part of the relationship between hedonic value towards attitude and the relationship between hedonic value towards behavioral intention. It means that there are other variables that play as mediator which are not examined in this study. The results of the analysis are expected to be used as a consideration by the producers of Loloh cemcem of Penglipuran Village Bangli so that they will be able to deal with further competition and the study results can be used as an alter-native strategy to implement a green business. In addition, the study results can be used by the government as an input in making policies that encourage the rapid growth of the Balinese local wisdom industry.

The purpose of this paper is to empirically examine a theoretical model which identifies the effect of process quality improvement and lean practices on competitive performance in the healthcare industry in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The study uses a quantitative research technique with convenient cluster sampling through applying a descriptive, causal and analytical research design. A valid sample size of 270 respondents is used for analysis by linear regression and hypothesis testing using SPSS. The results indicate a direct significant relationship between process quality improvement and a direct significant relationship between lean practices and competitive performance. Given the substantial resources spent and efforts to improve healthcare quality, the absence of studies demonstrating the impact of quality-related operations and activities would require future research. Hospitals in one city in UAE have access that limits the research results. It is recommended that future research assess more variables dependency on the healthcare sector that can affect increase competitiveness. The research provides some managerial implications that could help hospital managerial members improve their healthcare delivery system's leanness and quality improvement to get competitiveness. Quality improvement and lean practices help increase competitive performance and can assist the healthcare sector in providing better service using these practices that have never been considered in research.
