This study aims to define a conceptual framework for employee sustainable motivation in order to identify determinants of this phenomenon for private enterprises in Saudi Arabia. The subject seems to be critical for these enterprises currently due to the crisis caused by COVID-19. The study presents a quantitative exploratory approach to this composite concept, which aims to facilitate understanding and provide a practical tool for managers. The study reveals three possibilities for combining sustainability and motivation. Determinants of employee sustainable motivation are similar to those related to the “traditional” approach to motivation, but there are different in terms of composition and objectives. In addition to this, the intercorrelation between different factors is important to maximize employee sustainable motivation.

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of supply chain risk management on supply chain resilience in the presence of Internet-of-Things as an intermediate variable. In other words, the study seeks to identify whether supply chain risk management completely affects supply chain resilience. Collecting data by a questionnaire from a sample composed of managers of Jordanian industrial firms, the results show that supply chain risk management has a direct and indirect effect on supply chain resilience through Internet-of-Things. These results do not support the hypothesis that supply chain risk management completely affects supply chain resilience and accepted the hypothesis that Internet-of-Things intervenes the effect of supply chain risk management on supply chain resilience. The study contributes to the literature through filling a research gap regarding the mediating role of Internet-of-Things in the relationship between supply chain risk management and supply chain resilience and contributes to the industry through instructing managers to adopt technologies such as Internet-of-Things to help their firms cope with supply chain risks.

Activity-based costing system (ABC) adopters reported different uses of the system, inconsistent amounts of benefits gained, and consequently varying levels of satisfaction with the system. This study aims to investigate the variation in the extent of use, the magnitude of benefits, and user satisfaction with the ABC. A structured questionnaire was sent to the manufacturing companies operating in Riyadh Province, Saudi Arabia. 75 responses from ABC implementers were received. The results of this study show that the degree of ABC implementation success positively influences the extent of its use, the magnitude of benefits that have been obtained, and the overall user satisfaction with the system. These findings imply that irrespective of the characteristics of the company or the features of the system, the way the companies implement ABC might determine how much benefits can be gained and to what extent the system could be used.

This paper examines the impact of cyber resilience and supply chain (SC) robustness on supply chain performance in the UAE chemical industry. No prevailing empirical evidence makes this research unique and beneficial to the literature and future research related to cyber resilience in the chemical industry. Moreover, this research is a contemporary contribution to the research of the UAE chemical industry. The study applies a quantitative approach with causal, exploratory and analytical design. The magnitude of the industry is emphasized by choosing cluster sampling techniques. Data is collected from chemical manufacturing companies located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. A valid sample of 303 participants is used for data analysis. A positive direct impact with a significant level of cyber resilience and SC robustness on supply chain performance is found. Current hypothetical model assessment in one industry limits the research findings. It is recommended that other industries be investigated through longitudinal research. A system of diverse detection and defense mechanisms is required. For the chemical industry, an effective cyber security plan would strengthen resilience against cyberattacks and improve SC performance.

The presence of Islamic banking in Indonesia is to provide banking services for Muslim communities who need banks in accordance with sharia (Islamic law). Empirical facts show that the Muslim population using Islamic banks is approximately 14% of the total population. Meanwhile, Islamic banking assets are less than 5% of the total national banking assets. This shows that there are problems in customer loyalty of the Islamic banking industry in Indonesia. This study aimed to examine and explain the direct and indirect effects of the variables of religiosity, service quality, satisfaction, and trust on Islamic bank customer loyalty through a study on Islamic bank customers in the Special Capital Region (DKI) of Jakarta. The paradigm used in this research was quantitative positivist using survey methods in data collection. The population in this study was Islamic bank customers in DKI Jakarta, and the number of samples was 120 with a purposive sampling method. Data analysis was performed by descriptive and inferential analysis using SmartPLS statistical computational tools version 3.3.2. The results of the study indicated that religiosity, service quality, and satisfaction significantly directly affected loyalty. There was not enough evidence to state that trust directly affected the loyalty of Islamic bank customers. In testing the indirect effect, customer satisfaction partially mediated the effect of service quality on loyalty; however, it failed to mediate the effect of religiosity on loyalty. There was not enough evidence to state that trust mediated the effect of religiosity and service quality on customer loyalty of Islamic banks in DKI Jakarta.

Each company will make every effort to improve productivity, efficiency, fast, easy service, and continue to create various new innovations to stay ahead and survive in the market. In addition to productivity and efficiency that need to be improved, companies must also understand and know what consumers need. This study aims to determine and explain the effect of information sharing and innovation in Supply Chain Management partially on company performance. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires. The unit of research analysis is the tourism sector SMEs in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. Respondents who were used as samples were 210 people. The analytical method used in testing the hypothesis is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using Partial Least Square (PLS). This research has succeeded in proving the existence of mediation of information sharing and significant innovation in the relationship between supply chain management and performance.

This paper proposes a quantitative approach with statistical techniques for identifying the relationship between Internal Corporate Social Responsibility (ICSR) and Affective Commitment (AC) and clarifying the mediating effects of job satisfaction of employee. Five factors of ICSR including human rights, training and education, health and safety, work-life balance, and workplace diversity were examined. The major method in this paper is based on the quantitative approach, in which statistical techniques including Factor Analysis, Multiple Regression, and Path Analyses were performed. The unit of analysis was at individual level with the sample size of 233 employees who are working in different departments. The findings of this study showed that the higher levels of human rights, health and safety, job satisfaction and work-life balance employees were perceived at the higher level of AC. Based on the results of the path analysis, this study argued that to achieve high employee AC, employers should reach higher level of employee job satisfaction and improve human rights, health and safety and work-life balance. Although there were limitations, this study is expected to highlight several implications for small and medium companies in building ICSR.

The green economy with Islamic perspective is the primary discussion point in this study since it is seen as a potential solution to the current economic and environmental concerns. This study aims to analyze the Sustainability Performance of a nickel mine in North Maluku using Islamic economic perspective. A total of 80 mining workers in North Maluku were respondents in the study who were selected using the convenience sampling method. The results of data processing using structural equation modeling show that five of the six proposed hypotheses are empirically proven, the findings in this study indicate that the Sustainability Performance of nickel mining companies in North Maluku can be achieved through the practice of Green Human Resource Management which forms Health, Safety, Environmental Culture, and Green Supply Chain Management practices. The managerial implication of the findings in this study is that mining companies in North Maluku pay attention to recruitment supervision, training, and impose a system of rewards and punishments for workers related to safe work behavior and environmental preservation. In addition, the company also reports holding regular meetings with workers to socialize company policies related to work safety and environmental preservation. Finally, a license to carry out ISO certification to support the implementation of a supply chain that is environmentally sound and to have and carry out environmental program audits and support environmental-related regulations.

Human resources in the medical sector play a very important role in public service activities to per-form tasks as prescribed by law to serve the interests of the people and society. In this way, the service of medical doctors also has a direct effect on the public services and healthcare services of Vietnam. This research analyzes factors affecting doctors’ satisfaction and loyalty from a survey of 228 doctors working in public hospitals in Vietnam. The study was conducted using both qualitative and quantitative tools to examine the hypotheses of the survey. Cronbach’s Alpha analysis, Explanatory Factor Analysis (EFA) analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) were employed to test the relationship among the factors in the research model. The results indicated that the influential factors on the satisfaction of a doctor’s job include the following, listed in diminishing importance order: (1) Income, (2) Relationship with colleagues, (3) Quality of medical examination and treatment, (4) Hospital resources, (5) Autonomy at work, (6) Training and promotion opportunities. Besides, when doctors are satisfied with their job, they tend to be loyal to the organization. The study proposes several policy implications for medical sector managers to increase the doctors’ satisfaction and loyalty in public health services.

This research constructs a mathematical scheme to explore replenishment-shipment decisions for a multiproduct producer-client coordinated finite production rate (FPR) model with the postponement, rework, and subcontracting plan. The considered multiple goods have a common component, and a batch FPR fabrication with postponement is planned to meet the annual multiproduct requirements. The first fabricating phase makes only the standard components needed for a batch and subcontracts a proportion of them (with additional cost) to expedite the process. In contrast, the second fabricating phase produces the finished multiple merchandise in sequence. The in-house rework processes with extra expense help retain the desirable quality. Each merchandise’s finished batch is transported to the clients in equal-sized numerous shipments. This study derives the optimal batch cycle length and transporting frequency by minimizing the overall fabricating-shipment expenses (including clients’ holding costs). This work offers a numerical example demonstrating various crucial system features influenced by the factors of subcontracting, postponement, rework, and transportation policies to facilitate managerial decision making in industries.
