The present study aimed to examine the direct impact of transformational leadership dimensions on employee strategic renewal behaviour and venture behaviour, and through a mediating role of job satisfaction and employee commitment to organizational change. The study sample consisted of 464 employees in different firm types in Ho Chi Minh city of Vietnam. The data is analysed using a structural equation model (SEM). The paper shows that dimensions of transformational leadership (namely intellectual stimulation, inspirational motivation, and individual consideration) have positive and significant influence employee strategic renewal behaviour and venture behaviour directly, and via job satisfaction and commitment to organizational change (affective commitment and normative commitment) as a moderating mechanism.

This study tries to explore how distinctive or not the Vietnamese students are in learning English, thus investigating factors influencing the language proficiency of Vietnamese students. The study suggests the significance of five intrinsic factors related to the students’ characteristics (which are learning purpose, learning ability, learning method, hard-working, and self-awareness) and three extrinsic factors that are related to demographic factors, parental indicators, and schooling-environment in determining the English proficiency of Vietnamese people. Data was collected from online questionnaires sent to more than 2500 students from eight famous universities in Vietnam and converted into an excel version before translated into SPSS and EVIEW. Research results show that intrinsic factors, especially learning methods, play a vital role in shaping Vietnamese students’ capability to learn a second language. From educators’ perspectives, the higher level of English exposure the students are equipped at school, the higher their language proficiency. Finally, we compare the difference in learning language ability among genders and ages. The findings suggest that girls and minorities are less proficient in language than others.

The study examines how school-related factors influence the cognitive, psychological, and mental development of Vietnamese students. We randomly sent the questionnaires to more than 2000 students with different majors at five top universities in Vietnam based on the Ranking Web of Universities and conducted in-depth online interviews with respondents. Subsequently, we tested the correlation between student development and four school-related factors, including academic staff quality, school infrastructure, teaching curriculum, and school environment, using SPSS 22 and STATA version 2016. The findings suggest the significant role of staff quality in determining the level of student satisfaction. Specifically, students express their satisfaction and appreciation with their studies if their teachers have a solid academic platform. More importantly, infrastructure is positively correlated with three dependent variables, while teaching curriculum only influences cognitive development. The school environment positively affects psychological, mental, but not cognitive development. We also find that gender does not moderate students’ development but does influence student satisfaction.

The research focuses deeply on and evaluates the factors affecting financial management of educational managers training and fostering institutions in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This is a very specific model for countries in transition economies as in Vietnam, a country is in the process of comprehensive renovation, restructuring public service delivery institutions, increasing the assignment of self-responsibility to institutions, reducing financial pressure on the State budget. Using qualitative and quantitative research methods together with techniques, i.e., testing reliability scales with Cronbach's alpha coefficients, exploratory factor analysis EFA, CFA and linear model SEM, the study investigated 500 samples in 07 educational institutions in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The findings revealed six (06) factors, which are internal control system, technology infrastructure, top managers’ commitment, cash management and budget system, organizational responsibility, affected the financial reporting system, and meanwhile, the financial reporting system has a positive impact on the financial management. Based on this result, the study has proposed implications for improving financial management in educational managers training and fostering institutions in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

This study assesses customer satisfaction with value chain credits of the pangasius industry in Vietnam using the Servqual model and survey data in 2018. Based on it, some study recommendations related to increasing customer satisfaction are proposed while implementing credit products under the current Vietnamese pangasius value chain. This article aims to assess the satisfaction of customers who are applying for a loan under the value chain credit model for the pangasius industry.

This study analyzed the factors influencing the effectiveness of inter-organizational relationship (IOR) through relationship marketing of travel companies with their partners based on data collection with 256 responses who were working for travel companies in Vietnam. The study used a quantitative approach as factor analysis, multiple regressions and path analysis. The results indicated that inter-organizational relationship effectiveness was directly and indirectly affected by coordination, trust, frequency of interaction, commitment, communication, organizational compatibility, and relationship marketing. Surprisingly, formalization did not significantly affect the effectiveness of IOR and relationship marketing. This study is an essential reference for managers to make decisions and to enhance the effectiveness of their collaborative partnerships.

In the context of Vietnam's socio-economy is gradually developing and actively participating in the industrial revolution 4.0, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) is making constant efforts to realize its mission and development orientation. Human resource development plays an increasingly important role at the State Bank, that always needs to be perfected and renovated. The effective and practical system of work performance evaluation, working motivation evaluation and remuneration will be the main basis for the State Bank's human resource development plan at present and in the coming years. This study aims to evaluate the factors affecting the SBV employee’s motivation; with data collected from 454 SBV’s employees around the Vietnam, the research applied the quantitative method, using the Exploratory factor analysis (EFA), regression model and the Structural Equation Model (SEM) to determine the factors affecting the SBV employee’s motivation. Research results show that there are 5 factors (job characteristics, working environment, Reward policy, compensation and benefit, development opportunities) with different impacts on SBV employee’s motivation. Based on the results, the study provides recommendations to enhance job performance results of SBV task special employees.

This paper aims to study the relationship between human resource management practices (including work itself, training and development, supervisor support, co-workers ‘relation, salary, and working environment) and job satisfaction among employees in Japanese agri-businesses in Vietnam. The structured questionnaires were distributed to 200 employees to collect the primary data out of which 179 useable were returned to test the research hypotheses. Results shows that the work itself, training and development, co-workers’ relation, salary and working environment had positive effects on employees’ job satisfaction. However, there were no relationship found between supervisor support with job satisfaction. Finally, based on the results of qualitative and quantitative evidence as well of the comprehensive interview, some suggestions were given to human resource management practices in Japanese agricultural companies to achieve high level of job satisfaction.

Knowledge management is a process of systematic and transparent creation, development and application of knowledge to maximize knowledge-related performance and business value from knowledge and available wisdom assets. Knowledge management is vitally important with business and one of the competitive advantages. The aim of the study is to find out the relationship between the knowledge management process and employees’ commitment in the digital marketing companies. Through the mix-method research, the research result pointed out that four dimensions of knowledge management process; i.e., Knowledge Acquisition, Knowledge Conversion, Knowledge Application, and Knowledge Protection, positively impact on the employee's commitment. Some managerial implications for the digital marketing businesses were proposed to improve the employee commitment based the knowledge management process.

Using the assumption that the load is evenly distributed in the horizontal direction, the article has given the cable deflection equation as a function that depends only on the horizontal coordinates, the length of the cable and horizontal distance between two supports. This result leads to the construction of a general system of equations to calculate the deflection, tension, and elongation of an elastic single cable resting on two supports with or without high difference, bearing uniformly distributed loads (or evenly distributed at intervals) and load is concentrated at many points. Calculations of examples to compare with results have been performed by other methods.
