This paper deals with the pressing challenge of raising the level of environmental responsibility of agricultural enterprises in order to ensure their sustainable development. It has long been established that agricultural activity is accompanied by a significant negative anthropogenic impact on the environment. Therefore, globally, the trend is towards the development and implementation of the principles of environmental responsibility of businesses, which contributes to increasing the competitiveness of businesses, and improving product quality and living conditions of the people. The paper suggests that the environmental responsibility of an agricultural enterprise has to be assessed based on key criteria including the intensity of the use of natural and biological resources, the environmental management system, and business’s participation in solving environmental problems of communities. The paper presents the results of the assessment of the level of environmental responsibility of large, medium and small agricultural enterprises of Ukraine. The results suggest that medium and small agricultural enterprises are predominantly at the initial stage of applying the principles of environmental responsibility in their operations. Moreover, the paper presents the findings of a survey aimed to identify major hindering factors to the observance of the principles of environmental responsibility. These factors include the risk of a decreased business profitability, limited financing, lack of knowledge and shortage of professional staff, insufficient guidelines on the incorporation of principles of environmental responsibility. The paper suggests a mechanism for introducing environmental responsibility at agricultural enterprises that encompasses the governmental, local, and organizational levels. To introduce environmental responsibility at the organizational level, the authors recommend developing and implementing corporate green development strategy, incorporating sustainable procurement, training personnel, and engaging in voluntary public reporting on compliance with the principles of corporate social and environmental responsibility.

The purpose of this article is to make an assessment on infrastructure development efficiency based on Data envelopment analysis (DEA) method. The proposed method allows assessing the level of current infrastructure conditions which provides production and social dimension of its stable development. The article substantiates the necessity of conducting an analytical assessment of infrastructure development level which identifies its weaknesses and determines potential of improving its performance indicators. An integral assessment of transport infrastructure efficiency is proposed. To assess the problems of infrastructure development provision, a comparative analyses and ordering the objects according to growth or decrease of the indicators is performed. The results of the research allow discovering the causes of harmful phenomena in the system of management and development, and identifies major trends and prospects of development.

This research aims to improve a methodic for evaluation of economy’s competitiveness through theoretical-methodological substantiation, forming and calculation of integral indices of innovative technological competitiveness across the regions of a country. The relevance and indispensability of reinforcement of economy’s competitiveness on innovative technological foundations are also substantiated. Available methodical approaches in economic literature and competitiveness rankings and indices used by leading international economic organizations, namely in innovations and high technology domains, are generalized. Authors’ methodic of calculation of integral index of economy’s innovative technological competitiveness is suggested. Integral indicators of provision of innovative technological activity with resources, innovative technological activity and efficiency of innovative technological activity across regions (on the example of Ukraine) are calculated for 2009-2018; conclusions regarding the preconditions, capacity and availability of tendencies of innovative technological activity in oblasts (regions) of the country are made. The paper explains that each of the components of innovative technological competitiveness of the country’s economy had almost equal input in forming of its integral index – provision with resources, capacity and efficiency of innovative technological activity. In the first place, it is an additional argument in favor of the model’s reliability, and in the second place, it brings into the fore the importance of public policy in terms of improvement of resources maintenance of innovative and technologically active companies, boosting of innovative technological activity and increasing of its efficiency and contribution to general economic growth of the country. Strategic priorities of state policy of reinforcement of the economy’s innovative technological competitiveness are substantiated.

The purpose of the article is to substantiate an alternative methodology for assessing the com-petitiveness of young people in the labor market, based on the categories of transit from training to decent employment in the context of transformational change. The article explores the School-to-Work Transition Survey (SWTS), which provides an opportunity to analyze the peculiarities of young people's transit to the labor market. The study was conducted within the framework of the “Work4Youth” project, which aimed to identify ways to obtain information concerning the labor market, namely its youth segment. The main purpose of the SWTS was to gather detailed information on the issues, attitudes and conditions in which young people aged 15–29 was entering and securing their jobs in the labor market. The competitiveness of young people in the labor market has been evaluated and the regions have been investigated according to the characteristics of the workplaces, where the state of completion of the transition from school to employment by the young person have been determined. In addition, clusters that are close in characteristics to the group of regions were distinguished.

The article substantiates the essence of the concept of “social capital” as a resource in terms of formed, permanent, established types of highly effective socio-economic interactions. In addition, the main directions of its manifestation and its structural elements are defined. It is stated that for quantitative measurement of social capital at the enterprise level, it is necessary to establish its precise framework, to determine its structure and key features. As an object of accounting, social capital should be regarded as an intangible asset. The expediency of using the Value explorer method for social capital estimation, which requires some necessary steps, has been substantiated as follows: the use of clearly established algorithm of actions in the implementation of rational selection for a new product; the use of internal and external innovations in the process of generating new ideas and production of innovations within the framework of the product realization strategy; identify areas of key competitive advantages related to social capital; determining the role of the sphere of competitive advantages in production and sales of products; gross profit distribution by key competitive advantages; calculation of the potential of the competitive advantages sphere; assessment of the durability and sustainability of the competitive advantages of the enterprise and calculation of the present value of all elements of social capital of the enterprise. Five main levels of social intangibles are identified and grounded. The study allows to form an appropriate matrix to analyze the effectiveness of their use in the enterprise.

This article is devoted to the problems of forming analytical support for the management of economic activities of industrial enterprises under emergency situations. It is established that the current ap-proaches of the formation of economic analysis in economic activities do not allow to fully assess the impact of emergencies on the financial conditions of the enterprises. Therefore, a taxonomic analysis technique is applied, which allows to represent the level of business development mathe-matically and to identify the most influential factors, including the consequences of emergencies. Methodological provisions for the use of taxonomic analysis are also developed, which consist of successive stages of application of analytical procedures for evaluating the development of the enterprise. This includes a comprehensive assessment of the level of development of the enterprise in the context of emergency situations by calculating an integrated taxonomic indicator; assessment of the structure and dynamics of the integrated emergency indicators and the assessment of the consequences of the emergency. The methodology is applied and tested on the example of activity of PAP “Novokramatorsky Automobile-Building Plant”. Overall comprehensive assessment of the level of development of the enterprise allows us to identify advantages, disadvantages and “bottlenecks” in the activity of the enterprise. It also identifies and mobilizes internal economic reserves, optimize the financial and economic activity of the enterprise as a whole, as well as timely diagnose the presence and depth of the crisis. The methodology can be applied at the enterprises of different branches of national economics with different sizes.

In this review we systematized the theoretical and experimental data concerning the versatile approaches for the synthesis of N-acylphenothiazines. The aim of the study was to compile the literature reported worldwide in the past 20 years. This article also reviewed the analysis of pharmacological activities of these heterocycles as one of the promising chemotherapeutic objects for the modern bioorganic and medicinal chemistry. It has been hypothesized that the enormous biological potential of these moieties is due to the radical nature in the acyl moiety. Therefore, the present review will be a good contribution to the literature and will provide the platform for the medicinal chemistry researchers to carry out more studies aiming the N-acylphenothiazine moieties as the novel chemotherapeutic agents.

The article aims at studying the theoretical basis and developing a methodological approach for assessing the development of urban infrastructure from the point of view of the use of venture capital. The article explores the tendencies of the development of venture capital investments in the world. Particular attention is paid to comparing volumes of the formal market of venture capital investment in the EU and Ukraine. The emphasis is placed on the fact that venture capital is a way of targeted investment in innovative development and can become a catalyst for the introduction of innovative technologies. It is substantiated that science and education are reliable segments for the diffusion of innovations. The focus is on the functioning of technology parks and it is revealed that they have become the most effective organizational and economic form of integration of science and production among all other innovative structures in the world. The best practices of Ukrainian universities on the commercialization of innovative developments and technology transfer in the domestic and foreign markets are presented. The creation of an innovative educational-production cluster based on the principles of publicprivate partnership in the form of a multilateral treaty union of state authorities and economic entities without unification of deposits is proposed. The results of calculating the accumulative influence of the multiplicative effect from the development of urban infrastructure have been presented and the effectiveness of its influence on the development of the regions of Ukraine economy has been proved.

The problems of protecting equipment, structures and operators from the harmful effects of vibrations are among the most painful topics of modern mechanical engineering. In this research an original design of a friction shock absorber is presented in which the principle of operation is based on the contact interaction of a package of open shells with weakly compressible deformable filler. The proposed design is simple and technologically advanced, suitable for operation under high dynamic loads and at the same time has a compact transverse dimension. Such shock absorbers are projected to be used in the mining and oil and gas industries. A finite element model of a friction shock absorber with two contact pairs has been constructed: the first contact pair is "filler - package of open shells"; the second contact pair is "inner shell of the package - outer shell". The contacting bodies were presented as separate arrays of finite elements and the conditions of frictional interaction on the contact surfaces were set in the form of Coulomb's law. We considered the behavior of such a structurally nonlinear system under the action of a monotonic and nonmonotonic load. In the course of the study, the main operational characteristics of the shock absorber including the strength, rigidity, hysteresis characteristics and natural frequencies were determined. The possibility of adjusting the rigidity and shock-absorbing characteristics of the proposed device is discussed.

The purpose of the article is to assess the impact of the investment and innovation components on the econom-ic development of Ukraine regions using the taxonomy method. The proposed method allows determining the object state level in a general set of objects, and ordering the objects according to growth or decrease of the indicators. The article substantiates the necessity to assess the dynamics of the regional economic development level in order to identify the reserves and capacities for increasing profitability and efficiency of further activities. The integral indicator of the regions’ development level is calculated. The comparative analysis is carried out within the framework of the proposed model. The research results suggest that the proposed model ena-bles us to trace the causes of the negative phenomena occurrence in the activities of the regions, to prevent their occurrence, and to develop complex managerial influences to provide the state with a vector of positive development.
