This research designs information technology (IT) adoption in service system. It determines the role of IT in determining the performance of service delivery processes. It addresses the concept of IT adoption and discusses the design of the key parameters/elements. Based on a detailed questionnaire survey along with case studies, it outlines how IT can be implemented successful-ly. Its sole purpose is to help establish whether or not IT adoption improves service quality and firm performance.

Maintainability plays a fundamental role for achieving success in software system and it is con-sidered as an important quality characteristics. Maintainability may be predicted efficiently by us-ing soft computing techniques as they provide good results. In this paper similarity- based ap-proach is used with the contribution of fuzzy Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP) and fuzzy technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) at 2-level hierarchy. Here similarity- based approach illustrates the combine approach of fuzzy AHP and fuzzy TOPSIS. This approach is used to provide the rank of software to select the best one for maintainability estimation. Also, several factors are presented that influence the software maintainability. These factors are taken as criterion and three software products are taken as alternatives.

Software development with minimum effort has become a challenging task for the software developers. Software effort may be defined as the prediction process of the effort required to develop any software. Many software effort estimation models have been developed in the past, but it is observed that none of them can be applied successfully in all kinds of projects in different environments that raise the problem of the software effort estimation model selection. To select the suitable software effort estimation model, many conflicting selection criteria must be considered in the decision process. The present study emphasizes on the development of a fuzzy multi-criteria decision making approach by integrating Fuzzy Set Theory and Weighted Distance Based Approximation. To show the consistency of the proposed approach, methodology validation is also performed by making comparison with existing methodologies and to check the criticality of the selection criterion, sensitivity analysis is also performed.

The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the impact of critical success factors (CSFs) impacting technology implementation in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) supply chain. The study has used existing literature to identify CSFs and then questionnaire-based survey and Ex-ploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) to group CSFs. The paper has revealed that “Inter-Organizational”, “Organizational”, “CPG Sector Specific”, “Human” and “Program Manage-ment” CSFs impact successful technology implementation in CPG supply chain. The paper fills the gap in existing literature by studying the impact of CSFs on successful technology imple-mentation in CPG supply chain and providing guidance to practitioners working in CPG sector.

An efficient, three-component, catalyst free synthesis of dipyrazolo[1,5-a:3',4'-d]pyramid scaffolds has been carried out using 3-methyl-1H-pyrazol-5(4H)-one (1), 5-amino pyarazole (2a-b) and substituted aromatic aldehydes. The reaction underwent cyclocondensation reaction in reflux condition with moderate to good (62%–90 %) yields. The twenty newly prepared molecules were analyzed by means of 1H & 13C NMR, Mass, and IR spectroscopies and their activities against the bacterial and fungal strains were screened. Some of tested compounds have shown excellent antibacterial activities while another four were found to have good antifungal activity.

E-learning websites evaluation and selection is extremely important for the establishment of ef-fective E-learning. The E-learning website selection has crucial importance for the educational sector. The selection of E-learning website problem is generally considered as a Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) problem which mainly consists of both qualitative and quantitative criteria. The development of an E-learning website mainly depends on the success of the E-learning website selection along with various alternatives. So, for the effective evaluation and se-lection of E-learning websites, a set of selection criteria should be obtained. This paper consists of two steps, the first step is the identification of E-learning website selection criteria, second step provides the linguistic variables against the selection criteria and then fuzzy set theory (FST) is adopted for the calculation of the priority weights of each selection criteria. To show the rela-tive importance of each selection criteria, they ranked according to their global weights.

This study aims to identify and evaluate the critical success factors (CSFs) for international development projects (IDPs) from the perspective of key IDP stakeholders in Afghanistan. The study adopts a quantitative cross-sectional survey research design. Thirty-one success factors were identified and shortlisted through literature reviews and validated by experts and IDP management practitioners. The study's target population is the IPD senior management, IDP team members, and the general public. Amongst 500 questionnaires distributed, a total of 217 were returned and considered for analysis. The result of Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) revealed five key CSFs, namely: project cycle management, effective recruitment, continuous learning and adapting, project management method, and clear project goals and objectives. Besides, one-way ANOVA results revealed no statistically significant differences in the ranking of CSFs by the three groups of respondents. However, the post hoc test result indicated that the CSF 'continuous learning and adapting' was relatively rated lower by the general public. The findings of the study would assist the international community, their implementing partners, and IDP management practitioners in better management and successful implementation of IDPs in developing countries. It will also contribute to the CSFs theories and IDPM body of knowledge. The research is the first of its kind to examine the CSFs for IDPs in Afghanistan.

Job precedence can often be seen in various manufacturing process scenarios. For instance, in the context of flow shop scheduling, certain jobs must be processed before a specific job may be executed. Formally, this scenario is known as precedence constraint, which influences the optimal job sequence. Because of this practical significance, in this study, a two-machine flow shop scheduling problem in which transportation times, breakdown time, and weighted jobs are considered. In addition to that, an ordered precedence constraint is considered that ensures a successor job cannot start on any machine before its predecessor job has been done on all machines. This is the first study that deals with flow shop scheduling problems with transportation times, breakdown time, job weights, and precedence constraints altogether, to the best of the author’s knowledge. To solve this problem, a simple and efficient solution methodology is developed that assures optimal or near-optimal solutions effectively. The developed algorithm is tested on various test instances and results are reported, which will be useful for future comparative studies.

Inconel 825 is high nickel-chromium-based superalloy which retains its mechanical properties and exhibits good corrosion and oxidation resistance at elevated temperature. Inconel 825 is extensively used for making aircraft engine parts like combustor casing and turbine blades in aero space industry. This research proposed the Response Surface Methodology with GRA to optimize multiple responses during Wire-cut EDM of Inconel 825. At optimum combination of input parameters i.e. A4B1C1D5E4F2, increase in MRR from 36.13 mm2/min to 41.822 mm2/min, decrease in SR from 2.842μm to 2.445μm and decrease in WWR from 0.01832 to 0.01758 was obtained. Experimental results showed that pulse-on time, wire feed, pulse-off time, and peak current significantly affected the MRR, and surface integrity of specimen and electrode with the formation of craters, pockmarks, debris, micro cracks, and recast layer. The optimal parametric combination obtained from the present study will be advantageous for working on high strength; high thermal conductivity and low melting point materials like nickel alloys.

Abrasive Water Jet Machining is one of the novel nontraditional cutting processes found diverse applications in machining different kinds of difficult-to-machine materials. Process parameters play an important role in finding the economics of machining process at good quality. This research focused on the predictive models for explaining the functional relationship between input and output parameters of AWJ machining process. No single set of parametric combination of machining variables can suggest the better responses concurrently, due to its conflicting nature. Hence, an approach of Multi-objective has been attempted for the best combination of process parameters by modelling AWJM process using of ANN. It served a set of optimal process parameters to AWJ machining process, which shows a development with an enhanced productivity. Wide set of trail experiments have been considered with a broader range of machining parameters for modelling and, then, for validating. The model is capable of predicting optimized responses.
