The profitability of tourism industry is affected by several factors due to the specificity of tourism business activities such as the season, resources, geographic position, state and local policy, etc. Therefore, determining the groups of factors that affect the profitability and profitability ratios in tourism business activities helps to give synchronous solutions to improve the efficiency of tourism business. This study is based on a survey on the factors affecting the profitability through the questionnaires and interviews of 115 tourist enterprises in BinhDinh, Vietnam. The study conducts Cronbach’s Alpha and EFA analysis to determine groups of influencing factors and building regression functions of factors affecting the profitability ratios in tourist enterprises in BinhDinh province, Vietnam. Based on the EFA analysis results, the study has found two main types of fac-tors affecting the profitability of enterprises; namely within and outside the firms. The group of fac-tors within the enterprise includes 3 small groups; namely financial capacity; Enterprise human re-sources and Enterprise leadership. The external factors include 4 small groups including tourism business market; travel space and support services; political institutions; infrastructure and tourism security. The effects of these factors on financial figures are also represented in regression form.

Responsibility accounting provides not only financial and non-financial information for decentralized managers but also it gives suitable responsibility for other parts or other responsibility centers to understand whether or not they work properly. Completing responsibility accounting in enterprises depends on many internal and external factors. This research uses quantitative research method to analyze the factors affecting the responsibility accounting in livestock food processing enter-prises (LFPE) in Binh Dinh province, Vietnam. The results indicate that various factors affect the responsibility accounting including managerial decentralization, division the organization into responsibility centers, income and cost allocation, estimations, reality and estimation evaluation, reporting, rewarding, etc. Based on those results we offer some intuitive recommendations for firms to increase financial performance.

According to the Ministry of Finance's roadmap for applying IFRS in Vietnam, listed enterprises on the stock market and state-owned enterprises holding the dominant power are the first group of enterprises to alter the preparation of financial statements according to Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) to the application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The voluntary application period is from 2022 to 2025 and the period after 2025 will be the mandatory one. This study was conducted to determine the factors affecting the transition from preparing financial statements following VAS to IFRS for this group of enterprises. The study involved surveying managers and chief accountants at 120 enterprises belonging to the group of companies listed on the stock market, state-owned enterprises holding the dominant power, with the adoption of a regression analysis method. The research results show that five factors are affecting the transition of financial reporting from VAS to IFRS in this group of enterprises, with the order of influence being ranked from high to low, respectively as (i) Size and operation characteristics of the enterprise; (ii) Competence of accountants; (iii) Viewpoints of the enterprise administrators; (iv) Applied accounting regime, and (v) Enterprise owners. On that basis, the study proposes some recommendations for the transition from preparing financial statements according to VAS to IFRS for enterprises to meet the Ministry of Finance's roadmap for IFRS application.

With the aim of determining the factors affecting the application of IFRS in teaching for universities and colleges with accounting and auditing training, the research was conducted at 30 universities, colleges with accounting and auditing majors, and 208 lecturers who are engaged in teaching accounting and auditing in Vietnam. Next, the study employed the method of regression analysis by PLS_SEM software to process and analyze the collected data. Research results show that eight factors are affecting the application of IFRS in teaching at universities and colleges in Vietnam in the order of influence from high to low, respectively (i) Training program; (ii) Teaching staff; (iii) Regulation on the application of IFRS of the Ministry of Finance; (iv) Request of the related parties; (v) Faculty/Institution administrators; (vi) Teaching aids; (vii) IFRS teaching methods and (viii) Learners (students, trainees). At the same time, the study also shows that the financial capability of the institutions does not affect the application of IFRS in teaching.

This article focuses on identifying the essential factors that affect the audit quality and proposing some implications of the policy to contribute to the enhancement of the social trust in Vietnam audit profession. The pressure on the certified and reliable financial information is a key challenge to stimulate auditors to improve audit quality. The study reaches its objective by analyzing the point of views from survey participants (CPA and independent auditors) by using questionnaires and interviewing in combination with abroad and domestic references. The authors have collected 102 responses from professional staff working in auditing firms in Ho Chi Minh (HCM) city. Through evaluating the reliability of the scale, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis, the research model shows that there are six factors affecting the audit quality. They are (1) professional ethics of auditors, (2) professional capacity of auditors, (3) quality of external control, (4) internal factors belong to auditing firms, (5) audit fees and (6) size of auditing firms.
